Summer BarBQ and creatures of the twilight at Paxton Pits, Saturday 18th August 2012

Following last year’s successful Bar-B-Q at Paxton Pits, we will be holding our summer BarBQ there again in 2012. This is a joint venture with the Friends of Paxton Pits. The plan of events is as follows:

  • 5.30 - 7.30 p.m. Guided Walk(s) round Paxton Pits nature reserve;
  • 7.30 - 9.30 p.m. BarBQ Food;
  • 9.30 p.m. Activities to include Moth Trapping, Bat Detecting and Astronomy.

Charge of £10 for adults, £6 for children 7 - 14 years and under 7's free, with the walk and activities included. Please book your tickets in advance from George Cottam 01480 450809, email: George

Please note the venue will be the new Wildlife Trust Environmental Education Centre at the edge of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve, which was funded by Natural England through Defra’s Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund and Cambridgeshire Horizons. The venue has all the usual facilities.
